AWS offers a wide range of services and resources that enable organizations to scale their applications, store data, and manage cloud infrastructure. This paper presents key AWS services, analyzes their architecture, and explores their applications in various industry sectors. Different service categories will be presented, including cloud computing (EC2), data storage (S3, EBS), databases (RDS, DynamoDB), networking and content delivery (VPC, CloudFront), analytics and machine learning (Athena, SageMaker), and many others. Special aĴention will be given to the characteristics, functionalities, and advantages of each service, with an emphasis on scalability, security, reliability, and flexibility provided by AWS.

The role of applied research in master's professional studies within the Information Technology study program

The paper first presents the legislative framework of master's professional studies in the Republic of Serbia through the explanation of terms in the Law on Higher Education and corresponding bylaws, as well as in the Law on the National Qualifications Framework of the Republic of Serbia. AĞerwards, a comparison of fundamental and applied research is conducted based on several criteria. The role and significance of applied research in master's professional studies are explained, with a special focus on the Information Technology master's study program within the master's professional studies at the Information Technology School – ITS. The paper elaborates on why the role of applied research in master's professional studies is crucial for developing practical skills in students, their industry integration, and gaining practical experience.

Harnessing the Power of CRM and Scent in Education: Personalizing the Student Experience for Enhanced Performance

The modern educational landscape increasingly recognizes the need to view students through a customer-centric lens, ensuring their unique needs and preferences are catered to. This narrative review delves into the intersection of two innovative approaches to enhance the student experience: integrating Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems and using scent in educational seĴings. CRM systems, traditionally employed in business sectors, focus on understanding and catering to customers' unique needs. In an educational context, where students are the "customers", CRM tools can be pivotal in tracking and analyzing individual student interactions, feedback, and academic progress. This data-driven approach allows institutions to create a more personalized learning environment, ensuring that each student's unique needs and preferences are addressed. On the other hand, recent research has illuminated the potential of using specific scents in educational seĴings to boost student alertness, reduce stress, and enhance cognitive performance. When combined with the insights from CRM systems about individual student preferences and sensitivities, educational institutions can strategically introduce scents into the learning environment to maximize their positive impact. For instance, if a CRM system identifies students who study late into the night and oĞen feel fatigued during morning classes, introducing invigorating scents like peppermint or lemon in those specific morning sessions can help increase their alertness and concentration. In conclusion, the confluence of CRM systems and the strategic use of scents offer a promising approach to personalize the educational experience truly. By understanding and catering to the unique needs of each student, educational institutions can create an environment that not only enhances academic performance but also fosters a deeper connection between the student and the institution.

Reenvisioning Higher Education for Innovation and Entrepreneurship: The SMART4FUTURE Initiative

This effort establishes a novel model for educational institutions as catalysts for societal and technical growth. The article offers a wise and progressive perspective on higher education. It fulfils an essential requirement in the current dynamic technological environment: incorporating intelligent technology and entrepreneurial mindset into educational institutions.

Recommender System: Design and Opportunity in the Development of Information Systems

This paper investigates the design and opportunity of recommendation engines in developing information systems. The essential characteristics of the recommendation system, technological tools for monitoring and collecting user activities, and the method of generating recommendations are defined. The main focus is on the basic concepts, different types of recommendation systems, and their practical application in different technological fields and industries. Also, the paper analyzes the most used algorithms for generating recommendations and various metrics for evaluation. It shows the most common problems faced by system recommendations, the most important of which are the problems of cold start, sparse data, and changes in user behavior. Applied recommendation systems in current areas such as e-commerce, video streaming platforms, and social networks are discussed. At the end of the paper, the future development of the recommendation system, the future direction of research within information systems, and the potential improvement of user experience within various information systems were discussed. The paper aims to provide a clearer insight into recommendation systems and their increasingly pronounced impact on users' online activities.
